The Two Maps Illustrate How a Supermarket Has Changed Over the Past Five Years IELTS Map

Sample Answer 1

The two maps show the layout of a supermarket five years ago and its current design. Overall, the supermarket has undergone significant changes, with several areas being repurposed and expanded to improve customer experience and product variety.

Five years ago, the supermarket was relatively simple, with key sections such as fresh produce, dairy, and a checkout area located near the entrance. There were also limited sections for household goods and frozen items, and no facilities for dining or customer service.

Currently, the supermarket has been modernized and expanded. The fresh produce section has been moved to the back, making space at the front for a new café and customer service desk. A bakery and a larger dairy section have been added to cater to growing demand. Additionally, the frozen food section has been doubled in size and repositioned to the center of the store. There is also a new self-checkout area that has been introduced to reduce queue times.

In conclusion, the supermarket has changed dramatically over the past five years, with improved layout, new facilities, and better organization to enhance the shopping experience.
