Music has been and will Continue to be the Universal Language IELTS Essay

Model Essay 1

In many parts of the world, music plays a significant role in cultural differences. Many hold a belief that music deserves to be called as a universal language no matter in the past or future. To the best of my knowledge, this point of view is grounded for the following reasons.

Indeed, it is note-worthy that music and languages are closely intertwined in one way or another. Nowadays, many studies have shown that although it is invisible, music has an irreplaceable function of expressing thoughts and feelings that cannot describe by words. For example, according to the survey conducted by BBC News, higher pitch, fluctuations in melody and faster tempo can transmit happiness, while slow rhythm conveys sadness. This example is the illustration of the fact that music can touch the diverse emotions of listeners.

However, the counter-argument raised by objectors to this is that music is not a universal language, because in different countries, people prefer various types of music. This argument could be true to some extent; however, it is incomplete. What they fail to take into account is the fact that in the past each country has its own style of music that depends on their cultures; nevertheless, due to cultural globalization, people are inclined to enjoy similar kinds of music from dominant cultures. For instance, English has become an international language that is accompanied by the growing interests in US-UK music.

In conclusion, music is a universal language that connects people all around the world towards emotions and cultures as mentioned above.

IELTS Writing Task 2 Music Universal Language

Model Essay 2

Music has always been considered the best platform for healing the troubled mind and soul. Although there are many languages for communication, music in the past and forever will be considered the common language of mankind. This essay discusses why I completely agree with this objective.

To inaugurate with, the fact that music includes various cultural aspects that allow us to accept it as a universal dialect for communication. This is because any musical rhythm has the power to propagate the purpose of its composition regardless of the lyrical terminology. For instance the national anthem of India, which is always sung before a cricket tournament with an opponent from another country, the spectators present at the stadium pay tribute to this proud tune along with the Indian team. ieltsxP ress And for decades, the practice has been observed and still remains in trend, which usually depicts respect for the culture of other countries. In this way, music serves as a platform to bring nations together in several ways through its melodies.

Another important meaning of music is the emotional bond it maintains among people. In other words, saying that the words can usually be misunderstood, leading to weaker relationships, but the musical expression overshadows the paucity of unintentional negative conversation. For example, a person who cannot convey true feelings to another person speaking a different language can easily share those emotions through a romantic tune without being misinterpreted in a different context. In this way, universally numerous styles of music can be used to create a strong internal connection on a global scale, even without using a specific style to communicate.

To conclude, due to the fact that the fusion of feelings that make up music is ubiquitous, I strongly agree that music from the past to the future will continue to be the global language of humanity, serving as an outstanding way to exchange the expressions of humanity and to build relationships around the world.
