The democratisation of film has led to greater opportunity as well as fears as to the future of film-making. In my opinion, this is a largely positive development as it opens up the medium for a more diverse range of socioeconomic voices.
The main reason that film purists resist the digital revolution is it brings down the quality of films. A good example of this is when digital film first burst onto the scene and started to replace film around the turn of the century. The initial complaints from viewers were that film looks better and digitally shot movies have a cheap aesthetic akin to a soap opera. As digital film has proliferated beyond studios looking to cut costs, it has exponentially increased the number of films made by amateurs. This naturally leads to movies with bad acting, clumsily written dialogue and poor overall production values.
Despite the admitted cons listed above, digital film has given a voice to less wealthy filmmakers who tend to be of a different class and ethnicity. There are countless examples of students who film digitally, post their video on YouTube and become internet sensations. Many of these new perspectives are outside of the predominantly white, male, heterosexual homogeneity of Hollywood. It is increasingly possible for LGBT themes to surface in these shorts and for ethnic minorities around the world to break through. The most striking evidence is simply comparing the major movies made 50 years ago with the diverse range of cinema on offer today.
In conclusion, although there are drawbacks in terms of quality those are mitigated by novel themes from underrepresented demographics. Studios should pay heed and relax their control over an ever-promising industry.

Thanks to the advancement of digital technology, it is now possible for almost anyone to make a film. Personally, I think this is a positive development, and will discuss the issue in the following essay.
Firstly, with the advancement of personal electronic devices, such as smartphones, computers, and digital cameras, making films is now reasonably simple for many people. This advancement has therefore allowed film-making to become a hobby and creative outlet for many people around the world. There are even many apps available these days that allow people to shoot and edit short films on their smartphones, and then upload the content to social media and other platforms for people to see. Secondly, producing films is not only a hobby for some people, but also a passion and a career goal. Now, with such technology available, even those who do not have the opportunity to formally study filmography at university, or those with a natural talent for film-making are able to follow their dreams.
Besides being beneficial for those seeking creative expression, this development is also positive in other ways. In the past couple of decades, Hollywood movies have become repetitive and boring for many people, and thanks to the development of technology, many creative directors and film-makers who may not have been able to produce their films or release them to the mainstream public are now able to thanks to the internet and digital technology. This has allowed for a greater diversity of films and videos for people to see. And finally, technology has now allowed people to create documentaries about important issues in society and publish them online to inform people about pressing issues, such as the environment. In the past, what films and documentaries people were able to see was limited to what was produced by large film producing companies, whose main concerns are making profits.
In conclusion, although there may be some minor drawbacks of this development, they are far outweighed by the benefits that it brings.

Technology development is playing an important role in our daily life. Filming is impacted considerably by the evolution of camera technology. People can easily make films by using their own cellphone which several years before its functions is calling and messaging. Not only large companies but also individual people can record a film. Some people claim that it will bring many disadvantages to entertainment industry while others give their opposite sight. From my point of view, I strongly agree with the statement that anyone can produce film is a positive development.
Firstly, people can capture every moments in their lives and it create many new trends over the world. Large companies using their special tools such as background, expensive cameras and they invite many celebrities to play a role in their films. These films cost a great amount of money and times to establish a cinematic movies for their selling all over the world. In contrast, normal people’s films may cost much less money, time and people. These films can be posted on various platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, Tik Tok and many more social network. Moreover, cinematic films usually using old motive like superhero, action film with many VFXs, comedy and many more that could be not show the real face of the society due to some strict law and is the barrier stop that contents which videos on the Internet are not. Secondly, people can get the films easily on the Internet because many of those are not licensed and the quantity of it is bigger than cinematic movies, they do not need to pay a large amount of money to watch a films. Last but not least, individual filmmakers can build their own career in film industry and many talents are found through social platform. For instance, FAP TV, a Vietnamese channel produce a series of short comedy films which is very famous in Vietnam and they claim over a ten millions subscribers on Youtube.
On the other hand, it also bring negative effect to society. A film without regulations can effect people, especially children who do not have enough awareness to realize which is good, which is bad for them. Children can be damaged by that harmful videos and no parents want that happen. Moreover, various film with awful contents make the web space become too soiled and people do not want that content so that some developer using tool to clean up their network space.
In conclusion, the widespread popularity of freedom filmmakers due to the development in technology bring us many advantages. Although some small detriment still appear, the benefit of development in filming give people more opportunities to watch a quality movies through their smartphone and promote some hidden talents.
