These Days more Fathers Stay at Home IELTS EssayModel Answer 1

It is true that men are increasingly likely to take on the role of househusband, while more women than ever are the breadwinners in their families. There could be several reasons for this, and I consider it to be a very positive trend.

In recent years, parents have had to adapt to various changes in our societies. Equal rights movements have made great progress, and it has become normal for women to gain qualifications and pursue a career. It has also become socially acceptable for men to stay at home and look after their children. At the same time, the rising cost of living has meant that both marriage partners usually need to work and save money before starting a family. Therefore, when couples have children, they may decide who works and who stays at home depending on the personal preference of each partner or based on which partner earns the most money.

In my view, the changes described above should be seen as progress. We should be happy to live in a society in which men and women have equal opportunities, and in which women are not put under pressure to sacrifice their careers. Equally, it seems only fair that men should be free to leave their jobs in order to assume childcare responsibilities if this is what they wish to do. Couples should be left to make their own decisions about which parental role each partner takes, according to their particular circumstances and needs.

In conclusion, the changing roles of men and women in the family are a result of wider changes in society, and I believe that these developments are desirable.

Two Questions Type IELTS Essay – Model Answer 2

Nowadays, it is common that many fathers to take full responsibility for their children and the household while mothers are working outside. This particular trend has some reasons, and I personally think it is a positive development.

There are several main factors that may explain the change in family roles. To begin with, those fathers – who have been laid off and unable to find employment –  are likely to take on the role of a homemaker dad. Due to this fact, mothers obviously will turn into primary breadwinners to support their families, especially when their children are yet in their pre-teens.

Furthermore, both men and women have the equal right to enter the workforce. Particularly, when the wives earn more salary, it is completely fair that the husbands choose to be sole caregivers. For example, in some countries, a lot of male workers have decided to become house-husband at the end of maternity leave which is the period when their wives need to get back to their well-paid jobs.

In my opinion, the changing roles of men and women in families have a positive impact. In the first place, studies have shown that being a stay-at-home dad is very beneficial to a child’s physical and emotional development by creating a strong bond between them. Additionally, more women may have a good chance to pursue a dream career instead of making it a sacrifice.

In conclusion, I believe there are social and economic causes for the trend of being at-home fathers and breadwinning mothers. However, that change creates equal opportunities for both husbands and wives. (266 words)-Nhỏ-

Fathers Stay at Home IELTS Essay

It is true that there is a significant increase in the percentage of husbands staying at home and taking care of their children while financial duty belongs to their wives. There could be several reasons why this is the case, and I would argue that this trend is definitely positive.

There are various reasons why many fathers tend to do the duty belonging to women in the past while mothers go out to earn money. Firstly, the development of technology is involved in the high rate of unemployment. Men who find it difficult looking for a good occupation tend to stay home for taking care of their children. Besides this, doing house-works and looking after babies today are much easier than those were in the past. For example, nowadays we are able to use cloth nappies to keep babies clean without taking the smell anymore. Finally, along with the development of education, a large number of highly educated women qualified to attain a well-paid job that could bring them a higher salary. As a result, they could meet their family’s financial expectancy.

In my view, the advancement is definitely positive. First of all, their children could have a better development of knowledge because of getting additional home education from their fathers. Consequently, they could have a brighter future compared with someone who grows up without any parent staying at home and taking care of them. Besides this, the crime rate committed by teenagers could be decreased as a result of the closer relationship between fathers and children. In addition, mothers who go out for jobs play a major role in economics as well as society. For instance, there is a rising in the number of women working in hospitals, universities, or even in business. Their contribution is crucial and countless.

In conclusion, there are various factors that could be counted for the trend that fathers stay at home and take care of children and mothers go out for work, and I would strongly believe that this progress is certainly positive.

Fathers Stay at Home Positive or Negative Development IELTS Essay

Nowadays, it is quite rampant that mothers account for the income of the household while fathers are taking care of children. In this essay, I will analyze the reasons for this phenomenon and dwell on the impact on child growth.

First of all, as the development of technology is becoming faster at an unprecedented pace, the demand for traditional jobs requiring physical strength is diminished in society. This is because the machines such as robots, forklifts will replace many positions previously heavily relied on man’s power, which leads to driving man out of his job. On the other hand, woman’s abilities, such as managing people, resolving conflicts peacefully, and sympathizing with other people’s pain or agony, are gaining more attention from the job market since these abilities are highly valued in technologically advanced societies.

Secondly, I believe that it is very harmful to children in an environment where the father is in sole charge of nurturing children. In particular, when children are at a very young age, this detrimental impact on children seems to be more serious as they are in very need of their mother’s care and attention. For example, one of my friends who have been grown with his mother’s absence has been experiencing very unstable emotional status. He cannot put up with any event or friend against his will. As a result, he has to stay at home most of his time and cannot even have a job.

In summary, people are living in a society where technological development has brought many dramatic changes to human lives. The change of the main nurturer of children has been shifted from mother to father, which results in deteriorating children’s mental or emotional growth.

Family Topic IELTS Writing Task 2

There has been a shifting trend of fathers staying at home to nurture and provide for the kids while the mother earns the bread in recent times. I feel this is a monumental change in a positive direction, given that the 21st century has provided a platform for change, which a lot of people have embraced.

To begin with, the traditional bounds were that the mother would stay at home and nurture the kids while the father would work. This system became redundant and arbitrary as the world progressed. In the erstwhile days, women were barred from work as they were wrongly considered to be inferior to men in certain aspects. But, these shackles have since been broken. Now, women have the opportunity to earn more than their male counterparts. As a result, they go out while the father works from home or at home as someone is needed to care for the young ones. This change is quite refreshing as men play their part to nurture the family, no matter what that role might be.

Fathers staying at home doesn’t just allow a mother to fulfill her career-oriented dreams but also takes a lot of load off her as motherhood is a daunting task. For instance, with the father taking care of the family, the mother can catch up with old friends, go out for a refreshing walk, learn a new hobby or skill, or take a much-warranted nap. This change is possible as a sense of equality is being instilled among the people and they realize that sharing responsibilities develops stronger bonds.

However, there might be a few drawbacks to this. For instance, a father’s nurturance will never triumph over that of a mother’s. Furthermore, climbing up the corporate ladder means making a lot of sacrifices which often include moving around from place to place, working late hours successively and tremendous tension on the employee. It is observed that women tend not to make such choices as they feel the family might be affected. But, all in all, this sea change shows the progression of the society which previously deemed women unfit for work and that a man should take equal responsibility in a household. Thus, we can take pride in becoming a unified, welcoming and progressive society in general.

To summarise, this trend is witnessed in a time when the most capable person stakes claim to the job, irrespective of their gender. Also, the concept of online offices has aided greatly. Hence, it should be taken as a positive step and should flourish further.

IELTS Writing Task 2 Family Topic

Thanks to widespread women’s rights movements, more and more women have become the breadwinners for their families while their husbands stay at home looking after the kids. In my opinion, this is the result of an extreme, yet naïve ideology that has created an imbalance in many families.

Organized groups which call for absolute equality between men and women are often shallow-minded. Many such groups make illogical demands such as giving both couples exactly equal and reversible rights and responsibilities. In theory, this sounds fair and square. However, when you look at the details, it is not hard to see that this arrangement paralyzes both men and women by reversing their natural roles.

Improper allocation of roles puts exceedingly high pressure on women and renders men’s roles rather ineffective. When women are the primary breadwinners for the family, they cannot afford to take long maternity leaves. Not only because such holidays may be unpaid, but also because they need to progress in their jobs to support their expanding family.

It is a well-known fact that mothers develop better bonds with newborn babies. In addition, babies need to be breastfed multiple times during the day. This will not be possible if the mother has a demanding job that requires her to be away from the child for long hours. Therefore, it is counter-productive for the father to be the main caretaker. That said, it is indeed productive for the man to help with raising kids. The woman should also work to secure the financial future of the family.

In short, it is plausible for partners to share their domestic responsibilities, but an arrangement where mothers earn a living and fathers stay at home is way too extreme.

Fathers Stay at Home and Take Care of Their Children while Mothers Go Out to Work IELTS Essay

It is becoming increasingly common for fathers to be primary caretakers while wives develop their careers. I believe this is because of a societal shift in gender relations and it is a positive development.

The most obvious cause of more women in the workplace is modern gender relations. As recently as the 1950s in the United States, it was the unquestioned role of women to cook, clean, and look after the children. Many progressive women began to feel that they were more than their biological prerogative and feminism movements sprouted up in the 1960s. There have been years of struggle and the wage gap is still a hotly debated issue but now most reasonable adults accept that both men and women should have equal opportunities to pursue a career.

On the whole, I believe this is a positive development because women can contribute greatly to society. Since women have come into the workforce en masse there are countless examples of high-performing professionals including CEOs like Shery Sandberg, athletes like Serena Williams, and authors like Margaret Atwood. That belies the impact of millions of women performing well in the average job. A company meeting a few decades ago might have been more one-sided in its male-dominated viewpoints, but now it is likely to showcase more female viewpoints. This added perspective is one key to creative thinking and greatly enhances decision-making and the resultant products and services of many companies.

In conclusion, the advent of women in the workforce has brought great benefits to the world. The pertinent question is now how quickly will all parts of the world adopt these progressive improvements.

These days more fathers stay at home IELTS Essay

Nowadays, more men are looking after their children at home while more women have become accountable for their financial aspects. There are many reasons for this, and I think that it is a negative tendency.

The main reason behind this phenomenon is related to social elements. By this, I mean that the equality between females and males in modern society has opened the door for more women to acquire credentials and get good opportunities at work. This shows a construction change in gender roles in the family and on the job. Another cause for more men to do housework is the financial crisis of the present era. Financial problems within the family force parents to go out and search for a job to have the ability to cover the dwelling price.

In my view, this is a contrary improvement. Firstly, in many cultures, men are regarded as the breadwinner for your family members, and women should do the upbringing of children. Secondly, kids should stay more with their mom; this is what is suggested by researchers in a recent study. They have accepted that kids who left their initial five years for quite a long time deteriorated at college, later on, suffer mental stress than youngsters whose mothers stay at home to care for them.

In summary, fathers’ standing in the household has significantly changed for many reasons, and I believe that it is an entirely unacceptable improvement.

IELTS Essay on Family Topic

In recent times, many fathers are choosing to be stay-at-home-dads while their wives pursue their careers. Some are making this choice for economic reasons and others simply because they want to. This essay will explore why this is happening and I will argue that it is a positive trend.

The most common reasons couples give for fathers choosing to stay at home are economic and personal choices. In many cases, the mothers can earn considerably more than the fathers and as a family, they decide to take the higher income rather than think about outdated social norms. For example, my sister earns double her husband’s salary, therefore, she continued climbing the corporate ladder and her husband resigned from his factory job to raise the children. As a result, the family can now afford a beautiful house in Sydney and holidays twice a year.

The benefits of fathers staying at home are many. Obviously, the women benefit because they can follow their dreams and career aspirations. The fathers may be better suited to bringing up children and managing the home than working nine to five. As for the children, many studies show that they also benefit from the experience. For instance, the research found that children raised by their fathers are emotionally balanced and tend to have better social skills. As a result, they grow up to have better connections with both mum and dad.

The idea of family is changing in modern times and families are making choices based on their own abilities and needs rather than what society dictates. I think it is a positive development.

IELTS Essay on Fathers Staying at Home

Nowadays, more and more women are choosing their careers over motherhood, and more often men are found with responsibilities related to raising children and caring for the home. This trend has been amplified in recent years by feminist movements that have emerged in recent years claiming that men and women have the same rights and the same responsibilities when it comes to feeding their family tables and educating their children. In this essay, I will explain why these phenomena have a positive effect on our society.

To commence with, the fact that women are now taking leading roles in companies affects positively the household environment since kids, especially girls grow up looking at the example of their mother being an independent and self-sufficient woman that is capable of supporting their home the same way their dad does. For example, in the unfortunate case that the parents get divorced or the father is unable to work due to a significant reason such as illness or death, the mother is adequately prepared to play her role and vice versa which creates an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the household.

Furthermore, both parents can share and nurture their children because they spend the same amount of time and activities with them. For instance, in the past, the boy hardly knew his father because he was the one who was always in the office, hence the only adult they were close with was his mother. Therefore, when mothers are not working, fathers have the opportunity to establish this connection with their teenagers.

In conclusion, we note that the fact that women put their profession above housework gives fathers the opportunity to get closer to their children and take actions that will strengthen their relationship, and on the other hand, women look at them as equal and independent like men.

IELTS Writing Task 2 Fathers stay at home

With the socio-economic development, breadwinner fathers and stay-at-home mothers are on a decline. There are many causes behind this trend and in my opinion, this is could be considered as a positive change rather than negative.

It is undeniable that the global economy is going down. Many men workers have been sacked, and as a consequence, they stay at home, do household chores and take care of children. At the same time, women are more encouraged to work, by the government policies such as maternity leave, high salaries, and shortened working hours. Another reason why husbands’ role has been changed in recent years is the acceptance of society for them to become nannies instead of going to work and supporting the family.

Personally, I think this change in the father’s and mother’s traditional roles could have many benefits. Firstly, in many cases mothers have better qualifications and job opportunities than their partners, so it seems more sensible for them to go out to work. Secondly, if fathers stay at home and look after children, it would become an important contribution to their children’s upbringing, which could play a vital role in children’s future when they become teenagers and face problems that would be hard for mothers to handle. For example, it is rare to find boys or girls who have a close relationship with their fathers and making trouble or unsuccessful in their lives.

In conclusion, there are different reasons why fathers are becoming more responsible for taking care of children while mothers are busy with the financial support of the family. And I believe this could be useful for the whole family.

Working Mothers IELTS Essay

The traditional belief that men are breadwinners while women should take care of chores and up bring children is no longer true in the modern era. In many places, this convention has gone in a reverse way and an increasing number of women work outside and men stay at home. There are several reasons for this and I personally think that it is a positive trend.

With the changes in social belief, more parents send their daughters for higher studies instead of preparing them for getting married and this enhances the capable and educated women workforce. In many fields, for example, telemarketing, teaching, fashion design, and banking, women are doing better than men and this has created a demand for female employees in the job market. The equal right movement has had a great impact on empowering women and this has become quite normal for mothers to work at offices while the fathers decide to stay at home to take care of their children. This decision is often based on mutual understanding of the couples and the one who has the higher earning potential decides to work to support the increasing expenses of the family. This has been socially accepted in most of the developed countries though some developing countries in Asia are yet to completely accept this trend.

In my opinion, this trend has more positive outcomes and should be treated as progress. If both genders do not work for hand in hand and do not get equal opportunity, real progress would be impossible. This ensures that we live in an era when both men and women have an equal opportunity and someone is not deprived of a great career or a big opportunity only because of her gender. It is a great chance that allows the parents to decide who to earn money for the family and who to take care of the family, not based on social and traditional beliefs.

In conclusion, the changing roles in a family have been possible due to the great changes in social belief, advancement of women, especially in education and this is a very positive trend that eliminates gender discrimination and advocates equal rights.
