Tasks at Home and Work are being Performed by Robots IELTS Essay

There is no doubt that technology has improved in various aspects, including AI and Robotics. This essay will express one of the primary reasons behind it and discuss why this is a positive development. ieltsxpressieltsxpress-logo

First and foremost, humans have always been trying to invent things to make their life easier. Robots meet this purpose very well. For example, some robots are programmed to vacuum, wipe the house even if there is no one at home. Also, robots can be seen in many workplaces, such as supermarkets. The reason for this is they are being used to give some basic information to the customers, including where each product is displayed. In addition, some can scan the shop to gather data in case there is any out-of-stock or shortage on the shelves. While if these jobs are done by humans, it will take more time with higher costs. ieltsxpress-logo

Many individuals believe that robots are considered a threat to humans as they may be replaced by machines. However, these are manmade products, and even if they be well developed to completely takeover some careers, this will create alternative jobs, such as programming or maintaining these machines. Moreover, using them allows human beings to gain more time in their hectic life and allocate this extra time to more well-rewarded tasks like socializing, reading, and doing sports. In contrast, if people continue doing everything themselves, they will find life exhausting and difficult.ieltsxpress-logo

In conclusion, although developing robots might seem scary, their benefits are way pronounced as it will allows people to have more time and creates alternative careers.

Fully humanoid robots are rare but more and more families now use robotic vacuums such as the Roomba, mobile webcams for security surveillance, lawn care machines and devices that bridge the gap between robotics and artificial intelligence like Amazon Alexa and Google Home to make life easier. These devices save a lot of time for their users that can be better invested in hobbies, exercise, family, entertainment, and spending time with your significant other. ieltsxpress

In the past, a sizeable percentage of operating budgets went to labour but as this number begins to dwindle we will see a concomitant rise in investiture in areas like research and development. Large companies such as Amazon, Google, Apple and automobile manufacturers can now invest in developing artificial intelligence, improving existing products, making safer cars, and so on. Over time, these benefits will add up to hasten both the pace of technological development and the speed with which new advances reach consumers. Robots will replace jobs reliant on manual labour and divert those wasted dollars to more important, creative areas that elevate human endeavours.

The large scale adoption of robotics bodes well for the future as it will streamline both home and work. There are looming risks related to massive unemployment but these can be mitigated with governmental regulation and by encouraging ethical corporate practices.ieltsxpress-logo
